in a connecticut courtroom and surveillance video shows jennifer hawke-petit at a local bank taking out $15,000. prosecutors say her family was being held hostage. petit, along with her two daughters were later tortured and killed. yesterday, jurors heard 911 tapes in the deadly home invasion trial, and listen to what the bank manager told operators in a 911 call. >> we have a lady who is in our bank right now. who says that her husband and children are being held at their house. if the police were told they'd kill the children and the husband. >> what role does that 911 call play in the trial? >> it's laying out the time line. what's so chilling about that surveillance video of jennifer hawke-petit at the bank withdrawing $15,000, telling the bank teller my family is being held hostage, i'm petrified. they said if we involve the police they're going to kill my husband and kids. less than an hour after this video was taken, jennifer hawke-petit was dead. >> where were police? >> that's a good question. this is 9:17 a.m. 9:21 a.m., three minutes later, the bank manager says i got to go back

of time. >> good morning, i'm jennifer franciotti. it is 7:26. here's a look at some of our top stories for you. in baltimore city, a fight between two family members turned deadly. officers were called just before 8:00 last night to the 1000 block of north stricker street in west baltimore for a fight between her aunt and her niece. the injuries to the aunt were so bad she was taken to the hospital where she later died. police are still investigating this case. >> three people are recovering after being stabbed onboard an m.t.a. bus. it happened around 2:30 at liberty heights in northwest avenue near the mall. a fight broke out on bus number 51 which left three people with stab wounds. >> the bus driver brought the bus to rest here outside the mall. there were people here scheduled for their regular after-school duty, and people were unloading the bus, and the officers were able to board the bus and get the officers off. >> all three victims were taken to area hospitals and are expected to survive. police are continuing to investigate. >> in a separate stabbing incident, police are loo

video that you're looking at now shows jennifer hawke-petit an hour before she was murdered. she was at the bank withdrawing thousands of dollars and she told the tellers there she needed this money for ransom. the bank's manager did call 911 and police released a recording of that call. jeff, i understand that the 911 calls, they're raising a lot of questions because the time of when the call was placed and when police went to the home. >> this is a summer morning and what's so chilling about this, is just less than an hour after we see jennifer hawke-petit at that bank window she was dead or dying. the thinking of the defense, what this shows you is that police dropped the ball. they had ample opportunity to get officers out to the house. she is in there around 9:17 a.m. by 9:21 a.m. the bank manager goes to a back office after jennifer hawke-petit and said my entire family is being hostage at home and if i give them money they'll leave but if i get the police involved they'll kill my husband and children. a manager goes to the back room and then we'll tell you what happened on
